On Saturday, September 17 and Saturday, September 24, WHEDco and The Children’s Aid Society in New York partnered with the NYC Department of Transportation’s Weekend Walks program to present Bronx Summer Fest 2016 in Crotona Park East.
It was a great way to close out the end of summer with a back-to-school celebration, featuring live music and performances, arts activities, games and giveaways. During these two consecutive Saturdays, we closed down a New York City street to traffic in order to connect community members to local cultural, community and economic resources.
