In 2024, WHEDco was one of three nonprofits contracted by the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) for its “Childcare Community Connection” (C4) Project.
Through the C4 Project, WHEDco has been partnering with ACS to help families eligible for childcare vouchers to apply for vouchers, which enable them to pay for childcare. WHEDco supports those families throughout the application process. The C4 Project is designed to ensure that families applying for childcare don’t get stuck in the application process and fall through the cracks without getting the childcare they need.
Since the C4 Project began, WHEDco has helped more than 1,500 Bronx families complete applications and receive vouchers.
